This dual use label is used throughout Europe. The Large Loop Label (457006) is paired with a pad label which can be used used with a label carrier or fixed to display items as necessary. 

The benefit of the larger label (as opposed to the peculiarly British version) is that one or two lines of description are possible on the pad label in addition to the price. 

Having both item and display label produced in one print lends greater efficiency. There is no need for swapping labels or having an additional printer.
